How do I deliver what our customers really need?
The only way to truly understand what customers need is to talk to them on a regular basis. Here's a few ideas to help you:
- Get out there and talk to your customers. Watch them while they use your website, talk to them while they browse your store, call them up, or listen into your call centre. You'll be surprised at how easy and enjoyable it can be
- Regularly review your existing customer feedback mechanisms. Review your satisfaction questionnaires, complaints logs, and call centre queries. Are you getting the right information? Are you asking the right questions?
- Do you know why customers come to your company? Do you know what customer experience your competitors offer? Have you looked at where the gaps are in meeting their needs?
- Be committed to making positive changes to your company that ensure you deliver to your customer needs, and beyond
