
Experience Solutions was invited to provide an independent perspective on the user experience of the current GAME and Gamestation websites, along with a usability review of a prototype of the new GAME website.
Working closely with the GAME project team we designed a 12 person usability test to research GAME's core audiences; core gamers, family gamers, and gift buyers. The usability tests were conducted over a couple of days at our offices in Poole, and members of the GAME team came to observe the testing.
The test scripts were designed to cover five key areas:
The usability test highlighted a number of high and medium priority recommendations across both websites, which we delivered in a report. To assist GAME in making an action plan we then held a workshop with the project team to discuss our recommendations and agree how each one would be implemented and when.

The new GAME site is due for launch in 2011 and we are looking forward to seeing the next version.
