Project Summary

The University of Glamorgan contacted Experience Solutions to help them better understand how well their website was performing in meeting the needs of its users.

With a massive amount of content serving a wide variety of different users in an extremely competitive environment, the university was looking to understand what they were doing well, and where they needed to focus their attention.

To cater to the number of users types, and the need to review the site from many different perspectives, we provided a project that included usability testing with the priority user groups, and expert user experience audits for the remaining user profiles. Each user test also included a competitor benchmark review of five local competitor websites.

The research was followed up by collating all the results together to provide user experience benchmark scores for each site and each user type, along with a detailed list of prioritised recommendations to enhance the user experience of the website.

The University are currently developing new areas of their site to address the issues raised, and have a set of benchmarks with which to evaluate their results when we come to review the site again post-launch.
